Review by Amanda Rempe

The third album in the Universal Beat Generation series by 45 King, aptly titled Universal Beat Generation 3, is a masterful showcase of the producer's talent for crafting infectious, head-nodding beats. The album features 15 tracks, each one a testament to 45 King's ability to blend different genres and styles into a cohesive whole.

The album kicks off with the funky, horn-laden "Newark," which sets the tone for what's to come. From there, 45 King takes listeners on a journey through hip-hop, jazz, soul, and funk, with highlights including the soulful "Soulful Beat," the jazzy "Jazz Thing," and the hard-hitting "Hip Hop Thing."

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Funky President," which features a sample of James Brown's iconic speech from the 1972 Democratic National Convention. 45 King uses this sample to great effect, crafting a funky, hard-hitting beat that perfectly complements Brown's powerful words.

Throughout the album, 45 King's production skills are on full display, with each track showcasing his ability to create beats that are both catchy and complex. The album also features a number of guest appearances, including verses from rappers like Lakim Shabazz and Flavor Flav.
