British-born American Honkey Tonk pianist and songwriter (b. July 16, 1905 in Manchester, UK d. November 30, 1989 Pinellas Park, FL)
Eddie Miller was the house pianist for in New York between 1948 and 1952, usually recording under such names as Eddie "Gin" Miller or Eddie "Piano" Miller. In 1952, he sued Rainbow Records for underpayment of royalties and began recording for and the short-lived label. In April 1955, he signed on with the label, which went under later that year.
In 1962, he moved from New York to Largo, Florida. He continued to play piano at the Scandia Restaurant in Indian Shores, Florida. A member of ASCAP, he composed numerous songs, usually under the name Edward or , including "Gently" for Elvis Presley.
